Hawaiian sovereignty

This is odd. The president is determined to "restore Iraqi sovereignty and get the country back on its feet." I wonder if Americans are aware that Hawaiians are still waiting for Hawaiian sovereignty? And still waiting to get our country back on our feet?

See story at http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/05/24/bush.iraq/index.html

This may be un-PC of me, but why the hell do we need to worry about setting them on their feet again? Do we want to enable them to come at us again becasue we helped them out of the mire? Frustration sets in.

The difference between Iraq and Hawai`i is that Hawai`i produces no OIL... How sad is that... Too bad cars don't run on Pineapple juice and sugar, Hawai`i would still be a kick-ass producer...

Yes, Hawaii has no oil, but it has a lot of other natural resources, including its people and environment.

I think nothing is being done about sovereignty because Hawaii is already a state and the President doesn't want to deal with it and all of its ramifications. Plus, of course, Joe and Jill Haole and everybody else will seriously be affected. lol
