Yo!

Stuff: Locking older posts and a letter written by Queen Liliuokalani

So far I've managed to lock/privatize most of my posts from 2001 to the present (2006.) It took me a long time to do so. I used to do that at the end of every month but ever since I've been super busy working and traveling I haven't had much time to do so. I'm going to try to do that again at the end of every month. That way I won't have to spend most of the night to do five years worth of privatizing and/or locking LOL

I also changed the background of this LJ to show a letter from Queen Liliuokalani (pronounced "LEE-LEE-OOH-OH-KAH-LAH-NEE") to Albert Willis, U.S. Envoy, June 20, 1894 protesting the establishment of the Republic of Hawaii.

Here is a picture of her:

If you want to read the words you can see them here:

I have traveled throughout the states and one thing that annoys me is how American schools and libraries lack Hawaiian history books. I can understand that we want our country to look good but it's an important part of our (U.S.) history so I think that more people should read about it.

Her story, "Hawaii's Story by Hawaii's Queen" by Liluokalani, 1898, can be seen here for free:

Last but not least I am going to my office tomorrow morning and to do some work. Am I looking forward to it? Nope but hard work never hurt anyone. Okay... maybe not but I'm working tomorrow for most of the day.
