More Hawaiians should be working out because:

1) Heart disease is a major cause of death for Hawaiians.

2) Hawaiians have the highest rates of deaths due to cancer in Hawaii (229 per 100,000) and the third highest rate in the country.

3) Hawaiians are five times as likely as non-Hawaiians to experience diabetes between the ages of 19 to 35 (11% versus 2%.) Between the ages of 36 and 64 Hawaiians have a rate of diabetes that is over twice that of other populations (79 versus 34 per 1000.)
