Their comment is an un-educated, ignorant one and we know what breeds racism: Ignorance. In this case one can clearly see how hateful they are as well as ignorant.

I am married to a Haole dude and have been for a long time. I am also Haole too.

Unfortunately these people single out and target Hawaiians like in this case where someone does not sign their name. They respond out of hatred. These people are nasty, evil, hateful people... as shown in their response. They are full of hate.

I've mentioned it before... I am Hawaiian and American as well as a registered Republican. Senator Slom really embarrassed the Republican party and it's troublesome that he conveniently forgot that it's just not proper to celebrate statehood at the Iolani Palace where Queen Liliuokalani was illegally imprisoned. It was in poor taste and VERY disrespectful.

Unfortunately people like Jere Krischel, Ken Conklin, and "Harry the Ignorant American" like to spew inaccurate information about Hawaiians. Their latest ploy? Well they inaccurately assert that Hawaiians receive government funding solely based on race. Hmmmm... nice try but Hawaiians are not the ONLY ones who receive race-based funding. The significant difference is that these men ONLY target Hawaiians. That is why I can tell that they are racist against Hawaiians because they ONLY single out Hawaiians. In any case... do the facts matter? Of course they do and here are some facts about other race-based programs. It's called race-based programs for MINORITIES which is one good thing about the United States. This person clearly sends a message to Ken Conklin. As many people know, Ken Conklin is a retired math teacher supposedly with a PhD in the Philosophy of Education. He preaches and teaches hatred towards Hawaiians and he likes to make us look as though we hate Haole people. However many Hawaiians are part Haole. That is where his logic fails. Also overall Hawaiians are peaceful, loving, kind people. We really should change that perception because people like Ken Conklin like to disrespect us and they misinterpret us. Before Hawaiians would not protest. It was only during the 1970s where physical protests became common.

Fortunately Hawaiians and non-Hawaiians marched... for unity and this letter points out that Ken fears Hawaiians. I have told him that he shouldn't fear us but I also told him that I can understand because he has a condo in Kaneohe and he is afraid that once Hawaiians' civil rights are protected and defended then he will have to leave:

We did not march to generate "apathy." Apathy has been our historical enemy. We seek to awaken, to excite and to energize. If Conklin didn't hear the voice of the silent majority, he wasn't listening. They strolled by him.

Conklin's letter does not describe the march; it describes his fears of Hawaiian unity.
