Nov. 16th, 2006

I read in today's paper that Inouye's top aide's (Henry Kuualoha Giugni) wife recently passed away in Maryland. How sad! I know it's the people behind the scene that usually do alot of the work and while I disagree with alot of what Inouye has done and continues to do Giugni served as the Senate's sergeant at arms for 30 or so years. Amazing. And I guess he was Hawaiian (but I can't be sure unless I see his iwi and/or he recites his Hawaiian genealogy.) He passed away on November 3, 2005:

Sen. Edward Kennedy pays his respects to Henry Giugni's widow, Muriel. Kennedy said Giugni "was a constant friend."
